A Dartford business has been nominated for another national award, just months after winning a major retail award.

TieWarehouse.co.uk, based in Crossways, has been finalised by famous fashion industry magazine Drapers for its Etail Awards 2009.

It’s up against some tough competition, including fashion chain Evans and website Figleaves.com, for the title of Best Specialist Etailer (Note: internet retailer).

The winners will be announced on January 29th in London.

In October Tie Warehouse was picked by its own customers to win the Circle of Excellence Platinum Award from price comparison website Shopzilla.co.uk.

Gary Baker set up Tie Warehouse in January 2004.

He said: “What a stunning end to the year! To win the Shopzilla award was a great piece of news for us, but this Drapers nomination is something else.

“Drapers is the most famous magazine in the fashion industry, and we feel amazed that they have recognised a small but growing online fashion shop based here in Dartford.

“We’ve all got our fingers crossed for the awards ceremony in January.”

The Drapers judges will be looking at how well Tie Warehouse does at dominating its niche, plus levels of customer service.

Tie Warehouse has nearly 2,000 different designs and styles of ties and accessories in stock at any one time, with approximately 100 new products added every month.
